The tourist popular north side of Hakkoda has hiking trails kept in good condition is separated from the untouched natural spread of South Hakkouda by National Road 103 and overlapped by National Road 394. North Hakkoouda Peaks: Odake, Takadaodake, Idodake, Akakuradake, Kodake, Iodake, Maedake, Tamoyatsu, Hinadake and Ishikuradake. South Hakkoda Peaks: Kushigamine, Norikura, Komagamine, Sarukura, Yodake, southern Akakuradake and Sakagawa
